Who we are
Stone Point Farm is a small, diversified farm in the upper Hudson Valley, located between Hudson and Albany. This farm rests on the ancestral lands of Mohican, Haudenosaunee and Schaghticoke peoples. We are a family operation, the dream of Grace and Rose and our kids and dogs. Our love of food, nature, community and each other fuels our passion. Here on our plot that is just shy of 60 acres, we produce chicken, pork and more, upholding the highest standards of animal welfare and ecological sensitivity in our farming practices. We were incredibly lucky to be able to take over this very special, historic home that has been lovingly cultivated by the former owners (we love you Sally and Paul!), who planted many perennial food-bearing and native plants and maintainted a beautiful homestead before entrusting us to take it to the next level.
We are still shaping our plans and have more big dreams for this farm than we will probably ever realize, but here are just a few of our plans for the first few years:
-Plant more trees
-Launch a meat CSA
-Build a barn
-Build a farmstand
-Move/expand the garden
-Host private chef dinners and community fundraisers
We strive to build sustainability and resilience into our plans, always. We undertake this work with gratitude for the privilege to have access to this land and to work it with our able bodies. Thank you for supporting our dream, and we hope you love the food!
